Not the normal Thai Blogger
Most Thai bloggers are in touristy areas, and are either nomadic workers, or retired. Many of them have become successful enough on YouTube posting about the life in those towns. I will be in a small, rural town that is not known for tourism. I am also still working a full-time job, albeit remotely.
Born and raised in the US. Love to travel. I have been all around the US, Canada, and dipped my feet into Mexico. However, my life changed when I visited Asia. Specifically, Southeast Asia. When I visit Thailand, I am welcomed with smiles and warmth unmatched by my home in the US. I fell in love with Thailand.
This blog is about my transitioning from the US and moving to Thailand on a more regular basis. In the beginning for a few months, and I will go back and forth until I am comfortable staying in Thailand as long as the Thai government lets me.
I still have a full time job, and I need to keep it for now. There is a chance they may fire me because of this, but I already have a few backup plans for making money while living in Thailand. I prefer to keep working for them remotely, but I will survive if they don't. The cost of living is much more manageable than it is in the US.
I won't be able to have a Thai job in Thailand, but I can work as a remote freelancer for many positions in the US, and other countries. My girlfriend has a small business that I help finance, and I am going to guide her in growing it to be a regular income.
